Graduation project — an indivisible whole of installation, game, and thesis (incorporating Bladder Runner). A Buddha machine (nianfoji), the mass-produced devotional player from Shenzhen that loops chants around the clock, is given a voice. Through a dialogue between the artist and the machine, a cheap religious commodity becomes a meditation on belief, translation, and identity: a device 'compatible with all major beliefs,' consecrated on the assembly line, endlessly replayed in a looping, timeless space — and asking whether it is still the same machine once every part has been replaced.
